The Program of Graduate Studies in Science and Space Technologies (PG-CTE) began its activities in the first semester of 2012. PG-CTE results from a partnership of three institutions of Scientific research of the Brazilian Air Force:
- Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA - Main Institution
- Institute for Advanced Studies - IEAv
- Institute of Aeronautics and Space - IAE
with the participation of researchers from the three institutions. The last two institutions also provide laboratories and support facilities (libraries, rooms for students, classrooms, computer resources) for the development of Master Science and Ph.D. programs.
For general information about ITA's graduate programs, see http://www.ita.br/posgrad.
The overall objective of the Program is to train researchers on areas of interest or strategic to the aerospace, space, and defense sectors, capable of facing new challenges, ensuring the maintenance and expansion of the country's knowledge.
In addition to the formal aspect, characterized by a set of specific disciplines, students' activities include participation in multi and interdisciplinary projects, aiming at developing their capacity to coordinate and manage projects and activities focused on the aerospace sector, either in the academic area or for the Brazilian productive sector.
