The Nuclear Energy Division (ENU) produces research and development in nuclear energy and its applications. The main research topics are in neutronics and shielding, nuclear data, materials and heat transfer. Advanced fast micro reactor technologies are investigated to design and to build a fast nuclear micro reactor for applications in electricity generation in harsh environments, space systems and propulsion.
